Who is Equinox Navigation Instruments?
Brian Villmoare - I am a college professor and paleoanthropologist who works in East and South Africa, and I currently spend my field seasons exploring the Ethiopian desert for fossils. Ever since I was a kid poking around the deserts of Utah and Arizona I have always loved maps, compasses, protractors, sextants, theodolites, stories of old-time desert exploration, and anything to do with navigation and map-making.
Matthew Lopez - I’m a recent Computer Science graduate with a background in app and web development, video game development, and project management. I’m currently the lead software developer on the StarShot project. In my free time, I like tinkering with electronics, designing tech products, and listening to podcasts.
James Weisheit - Trained as a mechanical engineer by Johns Hopkins University, I currently restore historic homes. I spend my off-hours sailing, fishing, and restoring old boats, cars and motorcycles.
